Herreweyers On Watch List

Wallaceburg, Ontario native, and Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse alumni Zach Herreweyers, who is a Junior with the Loyola University Greyhounds, has been added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.

Added to the list late last week, the award is the top individual honour in men’s NCAA lacrosse.

Currently, Herreweyers is tied for second nationally in goals scored with 32 and also sits third in goals per game (3.56).

This past weekend, Herreweyers scored a hat trick and added an assist in a 19-10 Loyola win over Lafayette.

Herreweyers has played 9 games with the Loyola Greyhounds this season, recording at least two goals per game, and scoring a career-high of six against both Lehigh University and the U.S. Military Academy.

In his career with Loyola, Herreweyers has won the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, twice Herreweyers and also leads the conference in goals.

Herreweyers and the Loyola Greyhounds will host Colgate and Navy this weekend.
