Dresden’s TJ Brodie and his Calgary Flames have advanced to the second round of the 2015 NHL Playoffs.

Brodie and the Flames eliminated the Vancouver Canucks, upsetting their higher ranked opponent 4 games to 2, including a deciding 7-4 win Saturday night.

In Saturday’s win, Brodie had a second period assist on a Johnny Gaudreau goal.

In six playoff games this postseason, Brodie has a goal and three assists.

Brodie is playing on Calgary’s second defensive pairing playing 28:47 Saturday night, second only to Kris Russell. Brodie played no less than 25:57 in the series, a total which came in game two.

Calgary will now face the Anaheim Ducks, who swept the Winnipeg Jets 4-0 in round one.
