Chatham’s Kier Cumming was selected by the Sudbury Wolves in Saturday’s OHL Draft.

Cumming, a Chatham-Kent Secondary School student, was drafted in the 15th round, 282nd overall in the OHL Priority Selection Draft.

The captain of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team this season, Cumming had 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points in 22 regular season games this season after overcoming injuries early on.

Cumming had a breakout campaign for the Cyclones in the league playoffs, scoring 9 goals and adding 7 assists for 16 points in only 9 games.

The five-foot-eleven forward also played 2 regular season games and 1 playoff game with the Junior B Chatham Maroons this season.

Last season with Sudbury Wolves also selected another Chatham-Kent Cyclones forward in Brady Pataki, who spent the season playing in the OHL with Sudbury.
