The Wallaceburg Tartans Junior boys football team grounded the CKSS Golden Hawks Friday in LKSSAA 12-man football action.

Wallaceburg Tartans doubled up on Chatham-Kent 26-13 in their first regular season affair.

Patrick Ezewski opened the scoring for Wallaceburg on a 72-yard run in the opening quarter. Zack Emerson caught caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Tartans quarterback Carter DeKoning in the second quarter.

CKSS however kept pace with Wallaceburg in the opening half, as Kier Cumming scored a pair of touchdowns, on 61- and 22-yard runs. Cumming totalled 145 rushing yards on the day, and also had 10 tackles.

Brendon Marr put Wallaceburg ahead in the third quarter, scoring on a 45-yard run, before Emerson capped off the scoring with a 55-yard touchdown of his own.

In the other LKSSAA match up, the UCC Lancers throttled the JMSS Panthers 58-0.

Kaden Paquette scored a pair of touchdowns for the UCC Lancers, while Alex Noorenberghe, Derek Harvieux, Adam Buczynski, Sebastian DeSimone, Rylan Burm, and Liam Crosby each scored touchdowns.
