Wallaceburg’s annual Tinman Triathlon, hosted by Wallaceburg District Secondary School, is looking for another big year after having close to 300 participants compete last year.

Scheduled for May 14, 2015, Tinman combines a 3.8km run, 16.8km bike ride, and 16 lengths of the Sydenham Pool, in a “try a try” format.

This year’s edition will be the 22nd annual event.

Due to the popularity of recent years, WDSS organizers are hoping to begin registration early this year. Registration is open to current LKDSB students, community members, and WDSS alumni. For individuals, the cost to enter is $15, or it is $25 for a team of three. Teams may complete the triathlon with each individual completing a different section.

Registrations forms can be found at wdss.lkdsb.net/athletics/tinman.html and can be sent to swimwdss@gmail.com or by fax to 519-627-3833. If you wish to volunteer at the event itself or have any further questions, feel free to email Mrs. Nancy Schinkelshoek (nancy.schinkelshoek@lkdsb.net) or call Wallaceburg District Secondary School at 519-627-3368.
