The Wallaceburg Tartans edged the CKSS Golden Hawks in LKSSAA Junior football action Thursday night, with Wallaceburg securing second overall with a 17-12 win.

Patrick Ezewski punched in a one yard touchdown run, and kicked a 21-yard field goal to lead the Wallaceburg Tartans to victory.

Brendan Marr had the other Wallaceburg touchdown on a 12-yard run.

Kier Cumming paced the Golden Hawks in the losing effort, scoring two touchdowns. His first came on a 2-yard run, followed by a 23-yard catch from CKSS quarterback Mat Han. On the other side of the ball, Cumming also had 7 tackles.

The win improves Wallaceburg to 3-1 on the season, sitting behind only the UCC Lancers, who defeated JMSS 42-12 to improve to 5-0 on the season. The two teams will face off next week, while the 1-4 CKSS Golden Hawks will close out their year against the 0-4 JMSS Panthers.
