EnviroClean Car & Dog Wash Cougar of the Week: Jonathan Cartier
Cartier had an incredible offensive performance this past weekend, scoring four touchdowns in a 41-24 loss to the Sarnia Sturgeons.
“Jonathan Cartier is off to a great start to our season and is always in in the running for player of the week,” said Bantam head coach Cesar Torres. “Jonathan is the best football player in Ontario at the Bantam level.”
According to Torres, Cartier is still getting better as well.
“The biggest and most impressive improvement has come with his leadership on the field as our captain. Jonathan is driven and focused to improve everyday as an individual and as a team. Jonathan has the talent to become a star at the University level and I would not be at all surprised if he one day wears the jersey of a professional team.”
Cartier scored his four touchdowns on 12 rushes, totalling 203-yards. He also had 3 tackles and 2 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.
Through 3 games this season with the Chatham-Kent Cougars Bantam team, Jonathan Cartier now has 11 touchdowns.
Cartier and the Chatham-Kent Cougars Bantam team will next host the Forest City Thunderbirds June 14 at 1pm.
Jonny Cartier is a beast! He works hard and never quits. He’s going places with this work ethic!
