Hawks Soar To LKSSAA Football Win
As Golden Hawks head coach Jeff Green said, it was a season of improvement, and teamwork, culminating in this win.
“Total team effort came from conditioning, fundamentals, and improvement every week to peak in the final game of the season,” said Green.
Matt Han opened the scoring for CKSS, punching in a 1-yard touchdown run. Curtis Godfrey had the other CKSS touchdown, on a 10-yard pass from Casey Reaume, who went 5-for-9 passing, totalling 72-yards.
On the ground, Reece Richmond moved the ball down field all day, running the ball 12 times for 92-yards, while Kier Cumming had 5 carries for 44-yards.
Defensively, the Golden Hawks had a spectacular outing, shutting down the high powered Lancers, who outscored their opponents 233-19 in the regular season.
Kier Cumming paced the defense with 12 tackles, while Zach Lindley had 8. Brenden Bondy also had a standout performance with 7 tackles and a fumble recovery, while Jacob Dodman contributed with 5 tackles and a fumble recovery.
