Pan Am Flame Rolling Through Chatham-Kent
On Tuesday June 16 the Pan Am Games Torch Relay will visit Chatham-Kent, being carried through Chatham-Kent and Wallaceburg on Day 17 of the relay.
In Chatham, Maddie Lavoie will carry the flame on a dragon boat along the Thames River, with the flame being carried into a celebration at Tecumseh Park by community torchbearer Juli Elders at 2pm.
Earlier in the day, the torch will stop in Wallaceburg, with a celebration with free food and giveaways planned between 11:30am and noon in Downtown Wallaceburg at 99.1 CKXS FM.
The torch will begin in Sarnia, and end in Windsor Tuesday bookending the Chatham-Kent portion of the relay.
The Pan Am Games will take place in Toronto, Ontario from July 10-26.
