The Jamieson Junior Tour had its seventh event of the season Thursday at Kingsville Golf Club. The event also served as the second and final leg of the Widdifield Cup, the first leg was played Wednesday at Ridgetown Golf Club.

The Widdifield Cup is named in honour of Eric Widdifield who founded the tour and directed it for 22 years.

Chatham’s Brooke MacKinnon, who won the Jamieson stop at Ridgetown, firing a 77, took the overall Widdifield Cup title in the Junior girls division, shooting a 162 total.

Jasmine Ly led the field at Kingsville with a 78, with MacKinnon finishing fourth.

In the Junior Boys division Liam Fisk of Essex and David Nunes of Beach Grove tied with two over 74’s forcing a playoff. Both birdied the first playoff hole with 4’s on the par 5 no 1 gold. David took the title on the second playoff hole making a nice up and down for par. David is the sixth different winner in 7 events. In the two day Widdifield Cup Aaron Fisk prevailed with a 73-74=147 total edging Thomas DeMarco of Essex by a single stroke.

In the Collegiate Men’s Division Michigan Jordan Hutchings of Simon Fraser University playing on his home course of Kingsville took the title with a two under 70 edging Michigan Wolverine Bryce Evon by a single stroke.

Sara Holland of the University of Western Ontario took the Collegiate Women’s division with an 82 , 4 better than Emily Stadder of the University of Windsor.
