Hooker Gives Back
Jake “Young Guns” Hooker has been ripping up the track at the South Buxton Raceway. After only one win last year in his rookie season, Hooker has become a force to be reckoned with recently winning 4 futures including 3 in a row! Not only does he have a lead foot, but he also has a big heart.
The 14 year old has offered to donate half of his winnings towards the Chatham-Kent Safety Village.
“This gesture speaks volumes about what kind of a person Jake is. Most kids his age, 14 yrs old, if they were the star of the race track they would be wallowing in that, enjoying the glory,” said Garry Patterson, President of The Chatham-Kent Safety Village, “Not Jake Hooker, he’s thinking about others. He’s thinking about how he can give back to the community. The Chatham-Kent Safety Village is very fortunate to have someone like that on our side.”
Hooker currently sits second in the Sports Stock Division with 644 points.
