Van Herk Smashes PB’s at Provincials

Brendan Van Herk (15) of the Blenheim Blast Swim Team won silver in the 200m I.M. with a new personal best time of 2:14.76 atthe Long Course Provincial Swim Championships in Nepean, Ontario last weekend.

Brendan also bronzed in the 400 I.M. smashing his old personal best time by over five seconds at the meet finishing in a time of 4:48.58. Van Herk qualified for finals in four other events, finished fifth in the 100m Fly, and was sixth in both the 100m Free and 200m Back events, and seventh in the province in the 400m Free.

Brendan was also ninth in the 200m Fly, and placed fifteenth in the 100m Breast. Van Herk will travel to the Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships in Quebec City July 29- August 3.
