“Today my races went well,” said Madison Broad, who is entering grade 10 at UCC this Fall. “In prelims my goal was to make a final and in finals I got 1st with a best time of 1:03.80. Overall today I think I did well and I felt well.”

Day 5 will have Madison Broad & Genevieve Sasseville competing in 50m Butterfly while Brendan Van Herk will be competing in 200m IM and 50m Butterfly.
Broad is already looking forward to her race strategy and another strong finish.
“My race strategy for the 50m Fly is to have good underwater and get my head down before my hands hit the water,” she said. “I also need to take fewer breaths and kick harder.”
