Main Camps On Deck For Local Junior Clubs
With the calendar flipping to August, hockey season is just around the corner, and local Junior teams are gearing up for the 2015-2016 season, signing players, and preparing for their main camps.
In the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League, the Blenheim Blades will be one of the first out of the gate, opening skates August 17.
The Wallaceburg Lakers, under new head coach Marc Swayze, will host the entirety of their camp in Chatham on August 22 and 23 at Memorial Arena.
The Dresden Kings follow the Lakers with their main camp in Chatham, at Thames Campus August 24-26, with their annual Maroon and White game being held August 28.
The Lakers and Kings will then play an exhibition game August 30 at 4pm at Thames Campus in Chatham.
