Seth Griffith Sidelined For Pre-Season
The Boston Bruins will be without the services of Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith for the remainder of the pre-season.
Griffith, who his his stride early with the NHL’s Bruins last season after finishing the year with Boston’s AHL affiliate in Providence, has been ruled out for the rest of exhibition play with an MCL sprain in his left knee.
The injury comes after a freak knee-on-knee collision with Tuomo Ruutu during the second period of Boston’s pre-seasom opener against New Jersey.
Griffith recorded 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 30 regular season games with the Bruins last year. In 39 AHL games, Griffith added 31 points – 12 goals and 19 assists.
