Chatham’s special teams had a field day scoring a pair of shorthanded goals, by Teddy McGeen and Josh Barraclough, as well as a pair of power play goals from Ross Krieger and Ian Faubert in the win.
Brayden Hopkins, Gus Ford, and Michael Levesque also scored even strength goals for the Maroons.
In net, Parker Butler was solid stopping all 42 shots he faced. Butler was backed up by Brendan Johnston, who just returned from the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires.
With another multi-point game, assistant captain Ian Faubert holds the team scoring league through the first 8 games with 7 goals and 13 points, followed by Gus Ford with 12 points, and captain Brayden Hopkins with 7.
Chatham next faces St. Thomas this Thursday on the road before welcoming Sarnia to town next Sunday.
