– The Blenheim Blades got two goals each from Justin Delgado and Corbin Hagerman as they beat the Wallaceburg Lakers 6-4 last night in Great Lakes Jr. C play. The Blades penalty kill was tough as Wallaceburg only scored once on 13 power plays. Amherstberg beat Alvinston 4-3.
– The London Nationals edged the Chatham Maroons 3-2 in greater Ontario Hockey League play last night. Parker Butler made 49 saves for the Maroons in the loss. Rookies Connor Koviak and Austin Thompson scored for Chatham.
– Thamesville’s Trent Fox picked up an assist as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Soo Greyhounds 3-2 in Overtime in OHL play. Chatham’s Joseph Raaymakers made 22 saves for the Hounds in the loss. Pain Court’s Levi Tetrault scored his first OHL for the Guelph Storm in Saturday’s 8-5 loss to Saginaw.
– Thamesville’s Dane Fox scored his first pre-season goal for the Utica Comets of the AHL. The Comets wrapped up their training camp in France with a 5-3 loss to the Rouen Dragons.
– Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki scampered for two touchdowns to lead the Queen’s Golden Gaels past the Guelph Gryphons in CIS Football action. Pataki had 23 carries for 73 yards and hauled in a 40 yard pass. Jake Lindley had four tackles in the University of Windsor Lancers 44-19 loss to Macmaster.
– Thamesville’s MacKenzie Noah was stills winging the hot bat for the St Clair Saints in OCAA women’s Softball play. Noah was 2-3 with one RBI in the Saints 15-4 win over Mohawk College in the first game of a twin bill and she was 2-3 with four RBI’s in the nightcap.
