Hawks Finish First, Playoffs Set
Ryanne Logan scored a hat trick for the Golden Hawks in the win. She opened the scoring with two of her three goals in the first period, with Payton Sabourin picking up a pair of assists, and Sydney Sabourin also notching an assist on her goals.
Also scoring for CKSS in the win were Kirsten Horney and Hailey Johnson, while Mikayla Demaiter took the victory in net.
Scoring for the Cardinals was MacKenzie Cleland.
The win secured CKSS’ top spot, meaning they’ll face Sarnia St. Patrick’s February 10 in Chatham in the LKSSAA semi-final. UCC will face Sarnia Northern in the other ‘AAA’ semi-final that week.
Lambton-Kent will face Lambton-Central (Petrolia) in the LKSSAA ‘A-AA’ semi-final, while Ridgetown will face SCITS.
