Lancers Win Midget Girls City Title

On Friday evening, the UCC Lancers hosted the city final for Midget Girls Volleyball.

UCC won the title in three games 25-21, 27-25 and 25-17, defeating the Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks.

“UCC’s team ​​played their finest match of the season tonight,” said Ursuline Coach Paul Teetzel. “I was really proud of how smart they played, how hard they worked and how much fun they had in this match.”

Both teams played great games with long rallies, explosive plays and exciting moments throughout the night.

“Both schools should be commended for their dedication to their Midget volleyball programs,” wrote Teetzal. “CK coaches Jaclyn Merritt and Laura Sabourin did a great job preparing their team for this match. It was exciting to watch, and lots of fun.”
