Chatham’s Luke Allin, who had been playing OUA basketball for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks is done for the year as the second year forward has transferred to the University of Windsor.

Following the transfer, Allin will be forced to sit out an entire year of basketball, meaning he won’t be eligible to play for the Windsor Lancers until 2017.

Allin was averaging 13.3 points-per-game this season, as well as 5.9 rebounds, and last suited up for Wilfrid Laurier November 28.

Following his final game for Laurier, Allin was named the Wilfrid Laurier Male Athlete of the Week.

He played 7 games this season for the Golden Hawks.

Last season, Allin was named to the OUA and CIS All-Rookie teams.

Allin will become the fourth brother in his family to suit up for the University of Windsor, as his brothers Rich, Conor, and Greg played for Windsor earlier in the 2000s. Luke’s brother Max Allin played for the Laurier Golden Hawks, meaning Luke will have played at each of his familial alma maters.

The Windsor Lancers are currently 14-10 in OUA play.
