With the pending sale of the Wallaceburg Lakers, Club President Jim McCrea says it is not a buy it and everybody get out deal. McCrea says the deal will provide financial stability and a cash flow to run the club properly. The investors that are looking to purchase the team have yet to be revealed and the league has yet to approve the sale
The Sarnia Sting with a much needed win last night in the OHL Playoffs. The Sting with a 5-2 win over the Saulte Ste Marie Greyhounds. The hounds still lead the series 2 games to 1. The Peterborough Petes with an over time win last night, 7-6. That give Peterborough a 2 games to 1 lead in their series with North Bay. Tonight the Windsor Spitfires look to hang on to play another day when they entertain the Kitchener Rangers.
The Essex 73’s look to move onto the round in the Schmaltz cup playoffs tonight. Essex with a 3 games to none lead over Dorchester and can close out the series tonight.
The Chatham Midget ‘AA’ Outlaws will be in Toronto this weekend to play in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League’s championships. The tournament will be a 4 team round robin event.
