It will take one more game before we know who the Chatham Maroons will face in the next round of the Jr B playoffs. The La Salle Vipers forced a 7th and deciding game with the Sarnia Legionnaires last night as they downed Sarnia 5-4 in overtime. Game 7 is this evening at 5 pm in La Salle
The Essex 73’s are playing catch-up, something they are now use to. The Amherstburg Admirals pulled ahead in their Jr C series with a 3-2 overtime win last night and now have a 2 games to 1 lead and it could get wider as they host the 73’s tonight for game 4
The Wallaceburg Lakers SHREC minor midgets opened up their series against the Erin-Hillburgh Devils on a winning note last night at the Walpole Island Sports Complex. The Lakers with a 5-3 victory to take an early lead in the series. The South Kent Chiefs trail 2 games to none after the Lincoln Blades beat them 4-3 last night. The Chiefs hope to get back into the series when they play the Blades tonight in Ridgetown. The Dresden minor midget rep team downed the Tweed Hawks last night 4-3. Dresden could widen the gap in the series when they host Tweed this afternoon at home.
Jordon Durston and the Vancouver Stealth face the Toronto Rock this afternoon in National Lacrosse League action.
Chatham’s Chad Laprise will get a big break on March the 19th, thanks to a visa problem. Laprise will face Ross Pearson in Brisbane Australia in a big UFC fight. Laprise get the opportunity because Pearson’s first opponent could not make the trip to Australia due to a visa problem.
