The first win by a road team in the Amherstburg – Blenheim Jr C semi final series happened last night. The Amherstburg Admirals with a huge 5 – Nothing shutout, them a 3 games to 2 lead now in the series. Conner Myerink picks up the shutout. Amherstburg looks to close the books on the series and move on face the Essex 73’s in the finals. Blenheim will need to win on the Thursday night in order to bring the series back to the Blenheim Memorial Arena.
The Jr B playoffs open up tonight with the La Salle Vipers hosting the Sarnia Legionnaires, Strathroy will be in London to play the Nationals.
The Wallaceburg Scotiabank Peewee Girls have advanced to the Ontario Women’s Hockey Provincial championships after a 10-1 destruction of the Kent County Fillies last night. Provincials will take place on April 8-10 in Toronto

The Winter Special Olympics kicked off in Corner Brook Newfoundland today and this coincides with the flag for the Provincial Special Olympics Summer games starting it’s trek across the Province. The flag is making it’s way around Chatham Kent and Lambton this week giving everyone with special needs a chance to sign the flag.
