TJ Brodie put one in the net last night but that was not until the Anaheim Ducks turned on the light 5 times. The Ducks quacked the Calgary Flames 8-3 in the NHL last night.
Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith has been called up again by the Boston Bruins. Injuries have plagued the Bruins as of late. Griffith was called up last year to help out in the playoffs.
The Windsor Spitfires will play for another day in the OHL playoffs. The Spits with a 5-4 overtime win breaths a bit of life into the team. They currently trail in their series with the Kitchener Rangers 3 games to 1. the London Knights take a 3 games to 1 lead in their series with the Owen Sound Attack. London with an 8-5 win last night. The Sarnia Sting are in Saulte Ste Marie tonight to play the Greyhounds for game 4 in their series. The Sting are on the back end of the series, the Greyhounds lead 2 games to 1. The North Bay Battalion are in Peterborough for game 4 of their series. The Battalion are in the back seat right now with the Pete’s leading 2 games to 1.
The Essex 73’s will now move onto the next round in the Schmalz Cup playoffs. The 73’s dispatched Dorchester in 4 games straight.
Canada’s national sledge hockey team beat the United States 2-1 at the Pan-Pacific Championship yesterday. Tyler McGregor of Forest scored the winning goal.
Chatham’s Aimee Willimott is looking at her 4th Canadian boxing championship. Willimott will be Quebec City this weekend to duke it out with Canada’s best and see if she can earn a 4th title
Peewee Travel Football Tryouts will start on April the 10that 1 in the afternoon. Tryouts will then run for the next 4 consecutive Sundays. Indoor tryouts will be held at John McGregor High School. Outdoor Practices will be held at CKSS
