CKXS-Morning-Sports-BriefsThe Jr C finals open up tonight as the Essex 73’s host the Amhurstburg Admirals.

The Chatham Maroons could close out their Jr B playoff series with a win on the road tonight and move on to the next round.  The Maroons are in St Thomas leading the Stars 3 games to none

Dane Fox of Thamesville is heading to the Carolina’s.  Fox was signed by the Vancouver Canucks and was playing for their farm team the Kalamazoo Wings.  Fox has been traded the Carolina Hurricanes and will be playing for their farm team the Charlotte Checkers.

The Wallaceburg SHREC Minor Midget Lakers open up the OMHA finals this weekend.  The Lakers will be facing the Erin-Hillburg Devil’s Saturday at the Walpole Island Sports Complex.  Game 2 is slated for Sunday in Erin

The Wallaceburg Lakers General Meeting is coming up.  The meeting will be at the Wallaceburg Legion upstairs on April the 5th at 7 pm.

The Chatham Wildcats Novice Boys Basketball team picking up the gold medal at the Blessed Sacrament division 3 basketball tournament over the weekend.  It was a thriller of a final as the Wildcats tied the game with only seconds  left on the clock to send the game to overtime.  The end result an amazing 44-40 win and the gold medal for the Wildcats.
