The Wallaceburg Lakers have new owners. Joe Bryne and his son Joe Jr along with Boris Laus all of the Essex area, have bought the team. The management team and coaching staff will remain the same. The new owners say the club will stay in Wallaceburg. The Lakers also revealed a new logo which is a bit of a throwback to years gone by.
The Niagara Ice Dogs are the first team to move on to the semi finals in the OHL. The Doggies swept Kingston 4 straight with a 3-1 win last night to move on, The Erie Otters now have a 3 games to 1 lead over the Soo Greyhounds. The Otters with a 5-2 win over the Hounds. Tonight could see 2 more teams move on to the next round as the Barrie Colts look to sweep the North Bay Battalion and London could do the same thing to Kitchener when they face the Rangers.
Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki will play for the East in in The OAU Football’s East West Game.
The Wallaceburg Tartans 12 man Jr Football team taking on UCC today. The two schools will also face each other in Sr Girls Rugby action
