Erin Kopinak Makes NCAA Commitment
Wheatley’s Erin Kopinak has committed to play NCAA DI golf for the Alcorn State University Braves next year on a full scholarship.
According to the grade 12 Tilbury District High School student. Alcorn State University, which is located in Lorman, Mississippi was a good fit on many fronts.
“I choose Alcorn State because after talking to the coach and seeing the campus, I knew that Alcorn was the best fit for my golf game and my education,” said Kopinak.
Kopinak, who has split her time between Talbot Trail Golf Club in Wheatley, and Tilbury Golf Club, and was a member of the Southland Tour, winning 4 events in 2015, is excited to take her game to the next level at Alcorn State.
“I am excited and intrigued to see where my game could go and how I can grow as a golfer,” said Erin Kopinak.
Along with her tour play, Kopinak also qualified for SWOSSA and OFSAA golf in 2015, being named her team MVP with Tilbury last season.
