C-K MMA Fighters Head To Provincials
Two Chatham mixed martial artists are on their way to Brantford to compete in the provincial championships this weekend.
C-K Combat`s Steve Eldridge and Matt Dawson, both of Chatham, look to claim the Provincial titles in the 155 and 135 pound divisions.
Eldridge is the current (and first ever) 155-pound champion in the local Maple City Cage Fighting promotion, a title he claimed in February.
Dawson will compete for the same company’s 135-pound title in the tournament finals in June.
Both fighters have quickly become well known and respected in local MMA circles.
This weekend, their eyes are on the provincials, with a chance to represent Ontario at the national level. If one, or both of Eldridge and Dawson are successful at each level, they would then represent Canada at the world championships in Las Vegas.
