The Chatham Midget AA Outlaws won the Lower Lakes Championship on the weekend, winning in overtime, 2-1 against the Sudbury Lady Wolves who are the #1 ranked team in Canada.

In game one against Stoney Creek, Chatham skated to a 2-0 win with goals by Megan Morehouse assisted by Taylor Reaume and Jesse Kennedy, and Shawnah Alberts, assisted by Lauren Nicholson and Maddy Lalonde. The shutout was by Emma Gorski.

In game two facing Sudbury, the Outlaws fought to a 3-3 tie. Scoring in the game were Jesse Kennedy, Lauren Nicholson and Chynne Kennedy. Assists went to Taylor Reaume and Maddy Lalonde, who collected two.

Facing Clarington in the third game of the Lower Lakes series, Chatham was on the losing end of this match with their lone goal coming from Jesse Kennedy.

Finally, Chatham edged number one Sudbury 2-1 in the final. Chyne Kennedy scored, with Jesse Kennedy and Taylor Reaume assisting. With the Chatham Outlaws up 1-0, Sudbury tied the game with only 4 minutes remaining to send the game to a sudden death, 4-on-4 overtime. Midway through the overtime frame, Madison Lalonde clinched the victory, burying a pass from Jesse Kennedy to take the Lower Lakes Championship.
