The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks senior girls soccer team couldn’t solve the UCC Lancers throughout their 90-minute LKSSAA final. In fact, neither team was able to score in regulation, with the final whistle going and the score tied 0-0.

CKSS however, walked away with the LKSSAA championship after edging the UCC Lancers in a dramatic shootout.

Reagan Kellier scored the first goal in the shootout, followed by Jess Conrod, and Logan Kucera to cap things off.

At the other end Brittany McLaren shut the door in net for CKSS, allowing only a single goal in the shootout, for the Golden Hawks to win 3-1 in the shootout.

Earlier in the week, the Pain Court Patriotes girls won the LKSSAA ‘A’ title, defeating North Lambton 4-0 on goals from Alexa Arbour, Rachel Benn, Danielle Lucier, and Aubrey Michaud.

Both schools will play for the SWOSSAA titles next week.
