High school’s across Chatham-Kent are handing out their annual athletic awards this week, including at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, where they held their annual Athletic Award Banquet Tuesday.

Winning the Male and Female Rookie Athlete of the Year Awards were Drew Koluk and Payton Sabourin respectively.

At the Junior level, Delainey Johnson and Grant Spence took the Female and Male Awards.

Pierce Johnson and Jana Kucera were named the school’s Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

Other major awards went to Natalie Stewardson, who won the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame Award and Bursary, and the Robert Bye Academic Athlete Award and Bursary, which was won by Erin Young and Josh Andrusiak.

Other winners were Keigan Scott and Miah St. Pierre (Mark Lindeman Memorial Award), Trevor Everitt and Ally Oulds (Greg Way Award), Rayne Kellier (Joe Garcia Memorial Award), Liberty Rountree (Earl Grant Award), Fareed Ahmad and Desmond Lambkin (Brandon Markham Memorial Award), Nic Melillo (Jon McCubbin Memorial Award), and Pierce Johnson and Brittany McLaren (Dr. Jack Parry Award nominees).
