Creechan, Gleeson Playing For Team Ontario

Chatham football players Cam Creechan and Alex Gleeson are in Montreal this month to compete with Team Ontario at the Spalding Cup.

Gleeson competes for the Essex Ravens, while Creechan plays for the Chatham-Kent Cougars, and both attend Ursuline College in Chatham.

To open the event, Team Ontario took on Team Nova Scotia last week, with Ontario coming out victorious with a 37-7 win.

Creechan, a 5’9″ kicker/punter, missed his only field goal attempt from 32-yards in the second quarter. He also punted twice averaging 26-yard, and kicked off 5 times averaging 33.4-yards.

Alex Gleeson, 6-foot, 180 lbs. linebacker also played in the game, but didn’t record any stats.

The duo will hit the field again July 14 against QBFL at 8:30pm.
