Kucera Wins Gold At Espoir Championships
Chatham’s Lee Kucera has some new hardware after winning the gold medal in javelin at the Espoir Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick this past weekend.
Kucera’s winning throw was measured at 55.75 metres. The golden javelin was the best in the event and captured top spot among the seven competitors.
The CKSS graduate was selected to represent Team Ontario following prior strong performances this year.
Kucera, a 2015 Dr. Jack Parry Award recipient, is eligible to compete in next year’s Canada Summer Games. Lee also plays baseball at Dalhousie University.
