Gagner Scores Four, Ties School Record

Sydnye Gagner had a big weekend in NCAA soccer action for the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies, leading her team to victory, while tying a school goal scoring record.

Facing Chicago State, Gagner scored four goals, including three in the second half to lead Oakland to a 5-0 victory.

Her breakout performance boosted the former Chatham-Kent Secondary School student to the team lead in goals and points.

The goals were Gagner’s first of the regular season, although she did score a pair during an exhibition win for the Golden Grizzlies earlier this summer.

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies will next face Florida Atlantic on Thursday, September 8.
