The annual Red Feather events in support of Chatham-Kent’s United Way are in full swing, with sporting events taking place across Chatham-Kent this week and weekend.

Red feather volleyball took place last at John McGregor Secondary School.

Chatham-Kent Secondary School, John McGregor, Lambton-Kent Composite, Blenheim, Chatham Christian, Pain Court, and Tilbury high schools were attendance.

The event was a seven team round robin, which saw some excellent volleyball.

Results from pool play, lead to John McGregor and Chatham-Kent playing in the finals.

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks defeated McGregor two sets to zero in the finals. The top finishing ‘A’ school was Lambton-Kent.

Overall the tournament was a huge success, with $440 being donated to the United Way. Some of this money included $160 donation from the Chatham-Kent volleyball officials.
