Locals Win At LKSSAA Cross Country

Multiple Chatham-Kent runners captured individual titles at the LKSSAA Cross Country championships in Blenheim, Ontario Wednesday.

Chatham-Kent Secondary School’s Adrian Stubberfield won the midget boys division.

At the Junior boys level, Pain Court’s Aidan Lachine took the title.

CKSS’ Payton Sabourin won the junior girls division in dramatic fashion, passing her opponent in the final steps of the race.

In the midget girls race, it was Taijah Allen of Great Lakes crossing the line first. Anna Trinca of CKSS was the first local runner to finish in midget girls, finishing 5th.

Caroline Forbes of Northern won the senior girls race, while Northern’s Andrew Davies won the senior boys race. Delainey Johnson of CKSS finished 3rd in senior girls, while Thador Tekhli was 4th in senior boys.
