Maple City Cage Fighting Returns Saturday

mcc4Maple City Cage Fighting’s “MCC4: Night of Champions” brings local amateur mixed martial arts back to Chatham this Saturday night.

Promoter and owner of the local Gracie Barra Chatham training facility, Thomas Armstrong tells CKSN.ca the fourth event will showcase some of the top talent in Ontario including two title bouts.

Chatham’s Steve Eldridge will defend his 155-pound championship against Sarnia’s Jesse Huizinga. Maple City Cage Fighting will also crown their first 145-pound champion in the finals of a tournament pitting Sault Ste. Marie’s Mike Latvanen against Shane Monaghan of Windsor.

The card includes three women’s match-ups, including Asheena Tilbury’s last amateur bout before going pro in January of 2017. Tilbury, from Burlington, squares off against the 2011 World Muay Thai Champion, Andrea Watson at MCC4.

Gracie Barra Chatham’s Dee-Ladouceur meets Kelsie Parish, representing Seng’s Martuak Arts School.

Limited general admission tickets are still available. VIP and Mid-Way tickets are sold out.

Doors open at 5:30pm with fights starting at 6:30pm
