Blenheim Blades general manager Wayne Cowell recently announced that a familiar face is suiting back up for the Blenheim Blades.
Power forward Austin Bentley, 19, has returned to the team he began his Junior hockey career with in 2013-14 playing nine games that season.
In 2014-15 Bentley split his time with the Blades and the Dresden Kings before moving to the Junior ‘B’ Waterloo Siskins last season where he scored 13 goals and added 16 assists for 49 points.
This past summer Bentley was traded from the Siskins to the Sarnia Legionnaires and had a goal and three points in 10 games, before moving back to the Kings where he has played 14 games scoring six goals and adding two assists before coming back to the Blades.
Bentley, at 6’ 1” and 205 pounds, adds some muscle up front for the Blades to go with his goal-scoring ability.
By adding Bentley the Blades have now filled their 23 cards without cutting any one from their current roster.
