Just prior to Ontario Hockey Association player movement deadline of midnight last night the Blenheim Blades general manager Wayne Cowell announced the acquisition of Chatham Maroon defenceman Keegan MacVoy.
MacVoy, 17, hails from Windsor, and had been with the Maroons as a rookie rearguard all season playing 29 games, scoring one goal and setting up six more.
MacVoy, who stands 5’ 10” tall and weighs 175 pounds, is the third defenceman the Blades have added since early December. The other two were Junior hockey veterans John Montgomery, from the Maroons, and Kain Hopkins, from the Port Stanley Sailors.
The Blades now, for the first time this season, have a full complement of 23 carded players.
MacVoy will not be in the lineup tonight when they Blades travel to Wallaceburg to play the Lakers at 7:30, but will be at practice Thursday night and play in the Blades home game against the Lakeshore Canadiens Sunday at 7 p.m.
