Local Teams Off To OMHA Semi-Finals

The Kent Teksavvy Cobras Bantam AE and Major Midget AE teams have both advanced to the OMHA semi-finals.

The Kent Cobras Bantam AE team advanced to the OMHA semi finals after defeating the Stouffville Clippers 3-1-0 in the OMHA quarter finals.

The series started last weekend in Chatham with the Cobras and Stouffville each winning a game.

On Friday, February 17 the Cobras traveled to Stouffville and won game #3 2-1. Goal scorers were Matthew Cunningham and Dylan Holly with assists by Mason Cabral, Cameron Duquette, and Brandon Gray. Brock Whitson had the win in net.

On Saturday, February 18 the Bantam AE Kent Cobras won the series with a score of 4-2. Goal scorers were Matthew Cunningham with 2, Dylan Holly, and Logan Lovell with assists by Mason Cabral with 2, Even Jubenville, Jordan Dixon, Briden Gebal, Brandon Gray and Ethan Cuipka. Brock Whitson and Caleb Stoddart shared the win in net.

The team will begin the OMHA semi finals next Friday night in Chatham against the LaSalle Sabres.

The Kent Cobras Midget AE hockey team advanced from the OMHA quarter finals playdowns this past weekend sweeping Welland, winning three games 6-2, 3-1 and 3-1 in a six point series. The team advances to the semi-finals of the OMHA playdowns and will take on Brampton in a six point series. The series begins this weekend with two home games at Thames campus. They play Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm.
