Cougars Continue Winning
The Chatham-Kent Cougars Junior Varsity team are off to a hot start, winning for the second straight week to open their OFC season, this time by a crushing 57-7 margin.
Chatham-Kent dominated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from start to finish, including a dominant 36-point second quarter.
Nakoma Scott, Jonathan Cartier, Darion Bacik-Hadden, Joshua Chauvin, and Ethan Ciupka each rushed for a touchdown in the game, with Bacik-Hadden leading the way in rushing yards, collecting 87.
Ethan Jordan, Patrick Wilcox, and Ethan Joseph each caught a touchdown pass, while Jonathan Cartier passed for 182-yards.
Cam Creechan and Lucas Doyle paced the defense with 5 and 6 tackles respectively, while Connor Wright had 4 tackles and an assist, and a batted ball, while Quinton Emerick had 4 tackles, a batted ball, and an interception.
The Chatham-Kent Cougars peewee team were also in action on the weekend, shutting out Halton Hills 6-0. The Bantam Cougars beat Oakville 47-19.
