Pinnsonneault Wins Gotelaer Memorial at SBR

On Saturday starting at the front during the Auto Tech Sales and Service bomber feature, Carter Coles #2EZ , kept the car steady and sailed right into victory lane. Coles, thanked his sponsors and crew members for all of their help and support.  Carter Pickering #23 brought home second place and Kyle Gill #87 third.

It was a second Sun Parlour Trailers Sport Stock feature win for Tyler Lozon #66.  Timing a perfect restart after the final caution, Lozon took advantage of the track conditions and passed Rob Young #48 on the bottom of the track.  This resulted in a first place win for Lozon. Lozon thanked his sponsors, crew, Kirk Hooker, AP Racing and his Grandparents for their continued support.  Doris Lajeunesse #38 brought home second place and Willie Vyse #2 took home third.

The West Side Performance Plus Late Model race was dedicated to the late Gord Gotelaer.  Gord’s son Jeff was on site to present the Late Model Feature winner John Pinnsonneault #0 with the first place trophy after his amazing feature race.  Gotelaer thanked the track promoters, fans and racers for honouring his late father.  Pinnsonneault who has been a top competitor this year was the first crate motor to win a feature at South Buxton Raceway. That first place win also came with a $1000 cash prize.  After being asked how it felt to finally be in the winners circle, Pinnsonneault beamed: “It feels great, everyone always goes for the underdog”.  He also expressed his gratitude to his fans, family and crew.  Mike Lewis #05 brought home a second place finish and Dale Glassford #60 third place.

After a celebratory donut in front of his sponsors, Chatham Pro Shop’s Mini Mod feature winner Tim Mackenzie #81, was all smiles for a second time this season in victory lane.  Giving a birthday shout out to his 17 year old son, Mackenzie thanked his crew for all of their hard work every week.  Marshall Hereygers #31 brought home second and West Bertozzi #K9 brought home third.

It was a first Schinkels Gourmet Meat modified feature win of the season for #47B Joey Brousseau.  Brousseau who is also second place in points, thanked his amazing crew for all of their hard work and dedication, his sponsors and family.  Joel Dick #09D finished second and Denis DeSerrano #69 finished third.
