Florence Wrestler Wins WWE Championship

The childhood dream is alive and well for Florence, Ontario’s Jeremy Fritz.

Fritz, long respected as one of Canada’s top professional wrestlers, was crowned one half of the WWE’s NXT Tag Team Champions this past weekend.

Fritz wrestles as ‘Eric Young’ and is the leader of a group of rowdy and riotous international superstars known as ‘Sanity’.

EY captured the championships alongside Alexander Wolfe at NXT’s TakeOver event in Brooklyn, New York prior to WWE SummerSlam.

Fritz recently lost his mom to lymphoma, making the accomplishment even more special.
