The annual GOJHL Showcase weekend can offer a variety of competition, facing non-conference teams from across the province.

This year, the Chatham Maroons will be faced with two tough competitors at the September event, playing the Caledonia Corvairs and Kitchener Dutchmen.

The Showcase, which takes place from September 8-10 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, will see the Maroons open their 2017-2018 GOJHL season against the Kitchener Dutchmen, Saturday, September 9 at 1:45pm.

The Dutchmen were third in the Midwestern Conference last season with a record of 30-15-2-3.

Next up for Chatham, is the perennial powerhouse Caledonia Corvairs, Sunday, September 10 at 4:30pm.

The Corvairs finished first overall in the Golden Horseshoe Conference last season with a 44-5-1-0 record, before falling in the Sutherland Cup finals. They won three consecutive Sutherland Cups in 2014, 2015, 2016, losing only regular season games over that span.
