Maroons Hire Brett Hope As Assistant Coach

The Chatham Maroons have added a familiar face to their coaching staff for the upcoming season, hiring Blenheim’s Brett Hope as an assistant coach.

Hope spent 3 seasons in a Chatham Maroons uniform from 2007-2010 before finishing his GOJHL career captaining the St. Thomas Stars.

In 276 Junior B regular season and playoff games Hope accumulated 159 points.

He then proceeded to play NCAA DIII hockey for Buffalo State for four seasons, serving as team captain his final two campaigns.

At the completion of his college playing, Hope played one season professionally in the Southern Professional Hockey League and Federal Hockey League.

The Chatham Maroons will also bring back former goaltending coach Bino Pereira.
