Pegg Tops At Thrill On The Hill

Several Chatham-Kent athletes had strong performances at the annual Thrill On The Hill cross country meet held in Windsor Thursday, highlighted by Chatham-Kent Secondary School runner Emma Pegg winning the Midget girls division.

Pegg crossed the finish line in 16:51.8, 39 seconds ahead of the second place runner. Teammate Alyssa Robinson of CKSS was 5th with a time of 17:59.8.

In the Junior girls division, CKSS’ Anna Trinca was second with a time of 20:47.9, while UCC’s Brooke MacLeod followed closely in third at 20:54.8.

In Junior Boys Adrian Stubberfield of CKSS was the top local finisher, crossing in 9th place with a time of 17:39.2.

Payton Sabourin of CKSS was 8th in the senior girls division crossing in 25:03.6.

Finally in the Senior Boys race CKSS’ Cameron Ross was 5th (19:58.9) and Thador Teklhi, also of CKSS was 9th (20:51.7).
