Raaymakers Off To Hot Start With Knights
Raaymakers won his first four starts in a Knights uniform, before falling to the Guelph Storm last night to hold a record of 4-1.
Before Raaymakers arrived, the Knights were last overall in the OHL with a 1-8-1 record, but have improved to 5-9-1 with Joseph Raaymakers in net, and climbed out of the league’s basement.
Through those five games, Raaymakers has collected a 2.16 GAA, and 0.926 save percentage, both numbers putting him among the top netminders in the OHL.
The Chatham, Ontario product was acquired from the Soo Greyhounds October 17 after missing the first month of the season while awaiting a trade.
Raaymakers, a Chatham-Kent Cyclones alumni, spent his summer with the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, before returning for his fourth full OHL season.
