Panthers Rally For LKSSAA Win

The John McGregor Panthers could have quit, finding themselves down by 8 points in the 4th quarter of Thursday’s LKSSAA senior girls ‘A’ basketball championship game, but they didn’t.

Instead, the Panthers rallied to win the LKSSAA title, defeating the Ridgetown Royals 32-30.

Carol Tran paced the John McGregor Panthers scoring 13-points, while Meagan Hitchcock had 6-points for JMSS.

Ridgetown’s Maia Natvik topped all scorers in the game with 18-points.

The John McGregor senior girls will now host Lajeunesse of Windsor next Thursday in the SWOSSAA final.
