Carleton Sets Career High Scoring 39-Points
Bridget Carleton of Chatham scored an NCAA career high Wednesday, knocking down 39-points for her Iowa State Cyclones in a 78-68 win over Oklahoma State.
Carleton shot 16-for-22 from the field, and 4-for-7 from beyond the three-point line en route to her 39-points, the third most in points scored in school history in a game, and the most by any player in the Big 12 this year.
“At the end of the day, we had Bridget and they didn’t,” said Iowa State head coach Bill Fennelly of upending a strong, number 19 ranked Oklahoma State team. “I’ve never seen a performance like that in the time I’ve coached at Iowa State.”
Bridget Carleton, who also plays for Team Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team, led the Cyclones in another stat in the game, collecting 9 rebounds.
