Brendan Mairs has been selected in round 7 in the 2018 OHL Draft by the London Knights.

Mairs was drafted 134th overall.

The 2002 born forward played this season for the London Jr. Knights Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team and is an alumni of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones and Chatham Minor Hockey systems.

Mairs, a Chatham product, who moved up the 401 with his family a few seasons ago, collected 44 points, including 20 goals for the Minor Midget Knights this season in 33 games before adding 15 points in 12 playoff games.

The 5’10” forward was considered one of the top players in the Alliance Hockey loop this season.

He was the second local product chosen by the London Knights in the OHL Draft, as Tilbury’s Brett Brochu of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones went to the Knights in round 6. Only 6 picks before him, Chatham’s Craig Spence was chosen by the Mississauga Steelheads.
